Next steps
Once you have submitted your application, an authorised Westpac sales representative will phone you to acknowledge the receipt of your application within 24 hours. If we don't have all of the necessary information, we will call or email you to obtain the required details.

Your application will then be assessed and you will receive a phone call or email within two working days to let you know if your finance has been approved, subject to any conditions. At that time we will also discuss the next steps involved in progressing your loan application. Please note that you will be asked to agree to Declarations & Authorities before submitting your application.

Security
When your loan application is transmitted over the Internet it is protected from unauthorised access by a method called encryption. Encryption is a technique of coding the information being sent using random mathematical "keys" so that only you and the bank can readily unscramble the information. These keys are generated for each loan application and are erased when your session is terminated.

Purpose statement
The personal information we collect from you in this application form and which you may subsequently provide to an authorised Westpac Sales Representative, will be used to assess your application for a home loan, and if approved, for administration of the loan, marketing, planning, product development and research purposes.

It may be disclosed to other members of the Westpac Group (which means Westpac Banking Corporation and its related bodies corporate which include Westpac General Insurance Limited and Westpac Financial Services Limited), service providers who do things on our behalf (e.g. mailing house) or to other third parties where it is required or allowed by law or where you have otherwise consented.
