What our graduates have to say
During my final year at the University of Auckland, studying a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Taxation, I decided to apply for the Westpac Group Treasury graduate program because of the rotational aspect, which promised discovery and opportunities across an integral and interesting function of the bank.
I’ve had the privilege of rotating through a diverse set of teams, gaining exposure to liquidity, funding, capital and balance sheet risk management, venturing into the Chief Investment Office, participating in Structured Funding and Capital Execution, and supporting the accounting functions of Treasury.
My experience with the Group Treasury graduate program has been nothing but rewarding, both professionally and personally. While unique challenges and learning opportunities are sure to present themselves along the way, you will be surrounded by a robust and supportive network of colleagues and mentors. The culture at Westpac and within Treasury is unmatched!
Lauren, 2024 Group Treasury Graduate
I studied a double Bachelor of Commerce (Finance) and Economics at the University of New South Wales (UNSW) in Sydney. What drew me to the Westpac Group Treasury Graduate program was the opportunity to apply my interest in financial analysis to a division that centrally manages diverse risks on behalf of the Westpac Group.
Rotating across different teams within Group Treasury has enabled me to develop a diverse skill set while building my internal network. The learning experience ensured I gained valuable exposure to strategic decision making, how diverse teams contribute to a shared set of organisational goals, while also developing a stronger understanding of financial management and the banking system.
