Worldwide Wallet Changes

Changes to your Worldwide Wallet – Postponed

Change to funds transfers

After the changes, only you will be able to transfer funds to your Worldwide Wallet from your eligible Westpac accounts.

Additionally, you’ll also no longer be able to directly transfer funds from other financial institutions to your Worldwide Wallet.

PIN number changes

After the changes, if your Personal Identification Number (PIN) is longer than 4 digits, it’ll be automatically shortened to the first 4 digits of your current PIN.

What this means for you

  • If your current PIN is already 4 digits only, you don’t have to do anything.
  • If your current PIN is longer than 4 digits, only the first 4 digits will be used as your new PIN for transactions

How do I update my PIN?

  • If you would like to change your PIN, you can do so via the Westpac App or Online Banking.

Change to payments using Samsung Pay TM

After the changes, you'll no longer be able to use your Worldwide Wallet from your Samsung Pay Wallet.

What this means for you
After the changes, your Worldwide Wallet won’t be available in your Samsung Pay Digital Wallet. If you attempt to make a payment with your Worldwide Wallet using Samsung Pay, the transaction will decline.

If you have an AndroidTM device and wish to use your Worldwide Wallet in a digital wallet, you can add your Worldwide Wallet to Google Pay TM on eligible devices.

To ensure you can use your Worldwide Wallet in a digital wallet, you should consider setting Google Pay as your default payment app.

What if I don’t have Google Pay?
If you don’t have Google Pay, you will be able to continue to use your physical Worldwide Wallet card wherever Mastercard® is accepted in-store, online and at ATMs.
