The Westpac eSaver account comes with a Westpac Choice everyday account so you can easily transfer money in and out. We'll only open a Choice account if you don't already have one.

 

To open you'll need to be at least 14 years old with an Australian residential address. If you’re under 14, go to a branch with a parent or guardian.

Westpac eSaver

  • A savings account that lets you save with ease with introductory bonus interest, unlimited withdrawals and 24/7 access
  • 5.20% p.a. total introductory interest rate for the first 5 months for new eSaver customers who are new arrivals to Australia and have never held an eSaver account (1.10% p.a. standard variable base rate + 3.55% p.a. introductory fixed rate for 5 monthsº + 0.55% new arrival fixed bonus rateº). Reverts to 1.10% p.a. standard variable rate after the first 5 months
  • $0 Account-keeping fee.

Westpac Choice (if you don't already have one)

  • An everyday account with a Debit Mastercard®¹ to make deposits and withdrawals, payments online or on the Westpac App
  • $0 Account-Keeping Fee for the first 12 months (usually $5 per month). After this, the fee will continue to be waived if you; deposit at least $2,000 each month, ​are under the age of 30 or are a full-time tertiary student#
  • Get $50 on us! Open a new Westpac Choice account by 31st March 2025, and make a single deposit of $100 within 10 days of opening.*

Things you should know
1  Debit Mastercard®: Westpac Choice Youth account, the eligible card age is 8. For any other transaction account, the eligible card age is 14. You must have an Australian residential address.
 
Westpac everyday account: To open a Westpac savings account, customers must hold a Westpac everyday account in the same name and be registered for Online and Phone Banking. Fees and charges may apply on the everyday account.

# Open a new Westpac Choice account online between 1 February 2024 and 30 September 2025 to have the monthly Account Keeping fee waived for the first 12 months. At the end of the 12-month period, the monthly Account Keeping fee (currently $5) will apply unless the minimum monthly deposit criteria are met. Individual(s) under the age of 30, New Arrivals, and students are ineligible for this Offer. This offer is not applicable to the Westpac Choice Concession account.
