Westpac Share Purchase Plan Offer
The Share Purchase Plan (SPP) Offer is now closed
The SPP Offer closed at 5.00pm (Sydney time) on 2 December 2019 and no further applications can be accepted.
The SPP raised approximately $770 million, with all valid SPP Applications being accepted in full.
Approximately 31.9 million new Shares in Westpac were issued on 11 December 2019, with trading commencing on the ASX on 12 December 2019.
The Issue Price was $24.20.
The SPP withdrawal option, which was provided for SPP applicants who applied for Shares under the SPP prior to the AUSTRAC announcement on 20 November 2019, closed at 5.00pm (Sydney time) on Friday, 6 December 2019.
To have been eligible to participate in the SPP, you must have been a registered holder of Shares at the Record Date (7.00pm (Sydney time)) on 1 November 2019 and shown on the Register to have an address in Australia or New Zealand.
SPP Shares rank equally with existing Westpac Shares, noting however that they were not entitled to receive the 2019 final dividend as the record date for the 2019 final dividend had already passed.
Transaction Confirmation Statements and Refund Advices
Transaction Confirmation Statements (including Holding Statements), which included details of the number of SPP Shares issued and the Issue Price, were mailed to successful applicants on 12 December 2019.
Refunds for eligible withdrawal requests and for invalid SPP Applications were mailed on 12 December 2019.
