Westpac Group unveils new co-located branch in Dubbo
3 May 2022
Banking services in Dubbo have been given a boost, with Westpac and St.George enhancing their presence and investing in a newly renovated co-located site.
Around $2 million has been invested in the new Dubbo branch, which brings together more than 20 retail and business bankers from the local Westpac and St.George teams into one enhanced banking hub.
The co-located branch includes banking services for both brands and amenities such as an iPad kiosk and dedicated concierge to help customers navigate the new site.
“The new Dubbo co-location will provide more modern facilities, better technology, and new services for residents, supported by the friendly faces they’re used to,” said Ross Miller, Westpac Group Chief Customer Engagement Officer, Consumer & Small Business.
“Westpac has had a presence in Dubbo since 1868. Through our co-located branch, we are providing a long-term physical and financial commitment to the community, generating employment opportunities, and helping customers and businesses with their banking needs.
“We know that digital banking is also critical in regional communities, so we’ve invested in putting more digital tools, like smartphones and tablet kiosks, into our co-locations so our bankers can help residents with the digital transition,” said Mr Miller.
Businesses can also leverage the expertise of the local commercial and agribusiness banking teams who will be based at the site.
“Dubbo is a key commercial, industrial, and agricultural area, with a fast-growing population,” said Tania Motton, Westpac Group General Manager Commercial.
“We have an experienced business banking team based at the new co-location who can help businesses navigate the growth opportunities ahead through providing local knowledge, strong expertise and tailored banking solutions,” said Ms Motton.
Customers can visit the new co-location site at 123 – 125 Macquarie Street, Dubbo.
