Westpac gives customers more ways to save with Everyday Rewards
30 October 2024
In an Australian first, Westpac rewards credit card customers can now transfer their Altitude or Amplify points to Everyday Rewards points to redeem for their weekly shop.
Westpac Altitude Rewards and St.George, Bank of Melbourne, and BankSA Amplify Rewards customers can manually or automatically transfer their points to Everyday Rewards, Australia's largest retail loyalty program.
Customers will receive 2,000 Everyday Rewards points for every 3,000 Altitude or Amplify points, which they can redeem for $10 off groceries, clothing, pet goods, drinks, or petrol, or bank for Christmas to spend later. Eligible retailers include Woolworths, Woolworths Metro, BigW, BWS, Petstock, MyDeal, and participating EG Ampol outlets.
Duncan Woods, Westpac's Acting Managing Director Consumer Finance & Digital, said the new points proposition would give customers more choice in how they use points in the lead-up to the festive season.
"Our partnership with Everyday Rewards means we can offer another way to utilise points when many people are budgeting for an expensive time of year – enabling our customers to put points towards prawns, pavlovas and even petrol when travelling for family Christmas events.
"We have seen our customers increasingly leveraging their points to make their money work harder. Being able to transfer Altitude and Amplify points to Everyday Rewards points gives our customers more choice in how they want to save and spend, suited to their budget and lifestyle."
Customers can continue to earn Altitude or Amplify points on eligible purchases when using their eligible card and earn Everyday Rewards points when scanning their Everyday Rewards card.
Hannah Ross, Managing Director Everyday Rewards, believes this partnership will provide Everyday Rewards members with even more ways to collect Everyday Rewards points, leading to more savings at the checkout.
"We're delighted to welcome Westpac Altitude Rewards and St.George, Bank of Melbourne, and BankSA Amplify Rewards customers to the Everyday Rewards program.
"This partnership will help our members earn Everyday Rewards points at a faster rate if they choose to transfer their Altitude or Amplify points. They will also be able to stack points by earning Altitude or Amplify points when using their credit card for purchases at Woolworths, BIG W and our partners, as well as scanning their Everyday Rewards card in the same transaction.
"Scanning your Everyday Rewards card, boosting tailored offers and now transferring your points from a Westpac Altitude, St.George, Bank of Melbourne, or BankSA Amplify Rewards credit card can lead to hundreds of dollars in savings throughout the year at our Everyday Rewards partner stores."
Everyday Rewards has 9.4 million active members.
