There are many reasons people take career breaks. It might be parenting responsibilities, travel, caring for a loved one or your own health journey.
Whatever your reason, at Westpac we recognise that returning to the workforce can be overwhelming - especially in the rapidly evolving world of technology.
So, we are offering Tech Returnships to help you EmPOWERUP and get your career back on track.
24 Weeks of Support
Our EmPOWERUP Tech Returnship program means that for the first 24 weeks of your new tech role, you’ll receive an unprecedented level of support and training. This will include seminars, workshops, podcasts, and role specific training.
For even greater support and to boost your confidence you’ll be completing your EmPOWERUP Tech Returnship with an entire cohort with similar life experiences and challenges.
But most importantly we are also training our people leaders so they can better understand your needs – especially when it comes to flexibility.
Who is eligible?
The roles available across Westpac technology divisions are varied. While some roles require particular skills such as engineering, information security and data analytics, we also seek people with generalist skills and experience across other areas such as strategy, project management, delivery lead and change management.
If you have a desire to pursue a career in technology, love learning and have had a career break of two years or more then you are eligible to apply for an EmPOWERUP Tech Returnship. Don’t worry if your experience isn’t up to date. That’s what our EmPOWERUP Tech Returnship is all about.
