Join us during your university semester breaks or on a regular basis during semester with our Indigenous Internship Program. You’ll gain paid, professional experience relevant to your studies and a chance to explore the practical side of your chosen degree. It’s a great way to get a jump-start on joining our Graduate Program or even gaining permanent employment at Westpac Group.

Eligibility
- To be eligible you must identify as Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander.
- To apply you must be enrolled in University or TAFE.

How internships work
- Internships can run in semester break or during semester, whatever works for you
- You need to be enrolled in university or TAFE
- You’ll be paid for your internship
- Internships can range from 4 weeks to 12 weeks, depending on the business
- Internships can be completed in person or as home/office hybrid
- Interns are supported by a “buddy” as part of our Echo mentoring program.
