Under the Anti Money Laundering / Counter Terrorism Financing Act Westpac Group is required to collect and verify Customer Identification information, for any new customers on-boarded. To commence KYC onboarding please contact your Client Experience Manager who will initiate the process with our Customer Lifecycle Management (CLM) Team.

How do I add signatories on the schools account(s)?

Please refer to the Sample Notice of Authority form (PDF 318KB) to assist when completing your form.

To add signatories to an account print off, complete and sign the Notice of Authority of Addition to persons authorised - Government’ form (PDF 696KB)

If more signatures are required, complete the 'Annexure 'A' to Westpac Institutional Bank Notice of Authority - Government form (PDF 663KB) .

How do I remove signatories on an account?

• Prepare a written request on school letterhead outlining the name of the person to be removed and the account(s) they are to be removed from.
  
• Please ensure the Principal signs the request.
  
• Email the signed letter to nsw_government_schools@westpac.com.au

Where the signatory also has access to Corporate Online, we suggest your letter includes a request to remove their Corporate Online access. This will ensure you do not continue to pay for their access to Corporate Online.

How do I open an additional school account?

• Complete the Account opening form  - Government (PDF 693KB) (you can type directly into the form, and then print it off, once complete).
  
• A Notice of Authority for the new account is not required where the signatories will be the same as your existing account(s). If your new account requires different signatories, please print off, complete and return a new  Notice of authority for a specific account (PDF 95KB)
  
• Print off and complete the Additional Account or Service (PDF 385KB) to add the account onto Corporate Online.

No confirmation is provided to the school.  Please allow for a minimum of 5 working days for the facility to be established.

How do I close a school account?

• Once you have completed your account reconciliation and have no further use for the account then complete and print off the Account Closure Request (PDF 599KB) . This document must be signed by the Principal (Account Signatory).
  
• Please return completed documentation to your Client Enquiry Manager.
  
• Once the account is closed you will recieve a final bank statement. Please allow a minimum of 5 working days for the account to be closed.
