Culturally diverse leadership
Our people are as diverse as the 12 million customers we serve and the countless communities we operate in. We speak over 35 different languages and identify with even more cultural backgrounds, bringing with them a broad range of unique experiences, skills and ideas. It is this distinctive mix that enables us to make extraordinary results happen for our customers.
Westpac was proud to partner with the Australian Human Rights Commission to launch the Cultural Diversity Blueprint. The Blueprint is the first of its kind and was designed to help Australian businesses understand what best practice looks likes, and presented a compelling case for change for cultural diversity and inclusive leadership in Australia. We know that greater diversity in leadership and in the workforce helps drive better decision-making and business performance.
Westpac is committed to attracting and developing culturally diverse leadership talent, building a culturally diverse and inclusive workforce, and promoting awareness and understanding of cultural diversity and inclusion across corporate Australia.
Indigenous Australians
Part of building a better future for all Australians is ensuring our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, customers and communities prosper and grow.
