Westpac Mobile Banking App
Take your bank with you, wherever you go, with Australia’s number one banking app. If you have a Westpac bank account, you can use the Westpac App to transfer money, split group payments, and see your accounts at a glance.
Budgeting and savings tools can help you manage your money on the go, while the ATM locator can help you find an ATM close to home, or find a Global Alliance ATM when you’re travelling overseas.
You can contact us straight from the App, too. Simply sign in, tap Contact Us, choose your service, and get connected.
Budgeting and finding savings
There is a suite of budgeting tools available in the Westpac App to help you make the most of every dollar. The App dashboard has tools for you to track your spending each month, compare your spending across categories, set category limits, and follow your ins and outs.
There’s also a Savings Finder tool in the Westpac App that automatically calculates your annual spend on subscriptions and regular bills, so you can review them to determine how much you can save by cancelling or cutting back expenses.
Plus, bill reminders allow you to receive notifications about upcoming bills when you set up Bills Calendar in the App, so you can stay on top of those expenses.
Outside of the App, there’s a handy online budget planner calculator. This takes into account your incomings and outgoings, including your in-person transactions and cash transactions. It looks at your income and expenses, so you can see where your money’s going and if you’re spending more or less than you can afford.

Self-service telephone banking
Many Australians still prefer to bank over the phone, and that’s OK. Self service telephone banking gives you the flexibility to manage your banking when it suits you, wherever you are. You can also get information on products, services, interest rates and fees by speaking to a banking representative (8am-8pm, 7 days a week).
Once you’re on the phone, you can:
- Check your account balance and recent transactions
- Find out your BSB and account number
- Discover current specials on Term Deposit for amounts from $5000 to $250,000
- Confirm the interest rate on your Home Loan account
- See how much interest you’ve earned on your accounts
- Transfer money between your Westpac accounts
- Make credit card payments
- Pay any bills where you see the BPAY® logo
Sending money overseas
If managing your finances involves international transfers, you can use Online Banking or the Mobile App to do so. You’ll pay no international transfer fees when you send foreign currency overseas from Australia via Online Banking or the Mobile App.
You can also receive money from overseas into your Westpac account.
Understanding the Westpac withdrawal limits
The Debit Mastercard® daily cash withdrawal limit for Westpac customers is $1000 per person per day. This is a default limit, but you can manage your withdrawal limit (increase it, decrease it, or set a new default) simply and securely from either Online Banking or the Westpac App.
Security protection
As an Australian major bank, Westpac has a range of security measures to ensure that no matter how you access your money, you’re protected.
For example, if you’ve lost your Westpac Mastercard® credit or debit cards, you can use the Westpac App to lock your card temporarily.
There’s also dynamic CVC, which refreshes your card’s security number every 24 hours, reducing the risk of fraud.
Our Safe Online Banking guarantee means that if your Westpac account is compromised as a result of Internet fraud, we guarantee to repay any missing funds, providing you comply with our Online Banking Terms and Conditions.
These are just a few of the ways Westpac protects you. There are also real-time checks, enhanced card security when making online transactions, and 24/7 detection of scams and threats that target our customers.
To sum up
Whether you choose to manage your money over the phone, via the app, online, or by using a combination of these options, the range of tools and features provided by Westpac – along with top-notch security protection – empowers you to tailor your approach to suit your needs.
