You’ll need to be a sole trader, company or association and have a Westpac business transaction account to receive settlements into.

1. Open

If you don't have a Business Transaction account yet, open a Business One, Business One Plus or Community Solutions Account.5

2. Apply

Apply online for an EFTPOS Air merchant facility if you are a sole trader, company or association. 
For other business types such as partnerships and trusts, please call us on 1800 029 749 (8am-8pm, Sydney time, Mon-Fri).

Approvals are typically received in one business day.

3. Download

Once approved, download the EFTPOS Air app to your compatible device and log in to start taking payments.

* $100 Bonus Offer: Conditions, fees, charges, eligibility criteria and exclusions apply. Standard product terms and conditions also apply. To be eligible for the $100 Bonus Offer (Bonus Offer) you must have an application for a Westpac EFTPOS Air facility approved between 3 June 2024 and 30 September 2024 and have achieved $1,000 gross sales within 30 days of the EFTPOS Air application approval (Eligibility Criteria). Gross sales represent sales where a fee is charged on the value and/or number of sale transactions. The value and/or number of refund transactions are not included in the calculation. Gross sales exclude any payments taken using a merchant’s personal card. You are not eligible to receive the Bonus Offer if, in the last two years you have held, or you currently hold, any merchant facility with Westpac, St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA. The $100 bonus will be paid to your Westpac business transaction account approximately 60 days after you meet the Eligibility Criteria. If you unsubscribe from receiving marketing offers, you will remain part of this Bonus Offer and payment of the Bonus Offer will only be made into your nominated billing account. Your EFTPOS Air facility must also be operational at the time of payment. This Bonus Offer is limited to only one successful application per customer. The payment represents a pre-paid volume rebate of the first $100 (including GST) of Merchant Service Fees charged to your account. This $100 bonus may have taxation implications. We recommend that you seek independent advice to determine any tax liability or other tax implications based on your individual circumstances. Westpac has the right to vary or withdraw the Bonus Offer at any time. All Westpac Group offers are subject to eligibility and only available if your account is open and remains in good standing.

 

1. Compatibility: To use EFTPOS Air your iPhone or Android device will need to be Near Field Communication (NFC) enabled and running on one of the supported iPhone Operating Systems (iOS) or Android Operating Systems (OS) listed at https://help.eftposair.westpac.com.au/compatibility/, which may change from time to time. Tap to Pay on iPhone requires iPhone XS or later running iOS 16.4 or later and a supported payment app. Some contactless cards may not be accepted by your payment app.

 

2. Mobile coverage: Internet connection is required to take payments.

 

3. 1.4% flat rate pricing: Applies to eftpos, Mastercard and Visa payments by card, mobile wallet, or wearable.

 

4. Same day settlement: Subject to system availability, settlement is performed directly after business day cut off. Business day cut-off for EFTPOS Air takes place 7-days a week at 8.50 pm (Sydney time). Settlement must be to an eligible Westpac business transaction account.
