How to activate your physical card
In the Westpac App
Before trying these instructions make sure you update to the latest version of the app.
- Search Activate card in the Smart Search bar
- Enter the Card number
- Tap Activate
- Tap to change your card PIN (optional)
In Online Banking
- Go to Service > Services > Card Services
- Select Activate Card
- Enter the Card Number and expiry date and select Activate
Are you under 14? As the cardholder, sign into the Westpac App or Online Banking using your customer ID and password. A parent or guardian can then help you follow the debit card activation steps.
No activation is needed for Flex or PartPay Cards. Add to your Digital Wallet or use the Digital card version in the Westpac App for payments.
If you’re a business customer, you’ll need to be in your personal profile to activate your physical card online.
Digital Card and dynamic CVC
It's a digital version of your card, instantly available in the Cards Hub. Use it to shop online and pay bills with the added security of a dynamic CVC that updates every 24 hours.
