Keep in mind

  • You and any other card holders can continue to use your existing card as your card number won't change.
  • Use your Digital Card right away while you wait for your damaged replacement card to arrive.

How to get your card reissued

In Westpac App

  • Log on to the Westpac app
  • Search Reissue card in the Smart Search bar and tap.
  • Choose the right card.
  • Confirm your address is correct and follow prompts to request a replacement card.

In Online Banking 

  • Log on to Online Banking then go to Service > Services 
  • Under Card services select Reissue card
  • Find the right card then click Reissue card
  • Confirm your address is correct and follow prompts to request a replacement card.

What happens next?

Allow 10 working days for your card to arrive

When you request your replacement card, we will send it your chosen address. If you are in Australia, your replacement card will arrive within 10 working days.

Keep using your card

You and any other card holders can continue to use your existing card as your card number won’t change.

Strapped for cash? Don't wait for your physical card to arrive, use Cardless Cash1 to withdraw money from an ATM. You can also shop online or pay bills with Digital Card2 or mobile wallet.

Activate your new card

When your new card arrives, you can activate it in Cards Hub within the Westpac App. Remember to destroy your old card once the new one arrives.

Update your recurring payments

If your card was reissued because it had expired, you'll need to update any merchants taking recurring payments from your card. We recommend contacting each merchant and checking with them.


Card Expiring?

You can continue to use your card till the end of the expiry month.

Your new card will be sent automatically before your card expires. We’ll send you a push notification via your Westpac App when your new card is on the way. If you haven’t already, enable push notifications in your Westpac App by going to profile > settings > notifications and marketing > then follow instructions.

1. Cardless cash: use Cardless cash to withdraw cash without a debit card from any Westpac ATM in Australia. Limit of 3 Cardless transactions per day, subject to daily withdrawal limit of $500 and weekly withdrawal limit of $1,000.  Read FAQs and Online Banking Terms and Conditions (PDF 555KB) for more details.

2. The Digital Card is only available in the Westpac App and supported with the latest version of the Westpac App. The terms and conditions applicable to your product also apply to the use of your digital card. Online Banking Terms & Conditions also apply. You may not always be able to access your digital card.

Debit Mastercard®: Westpac Choice Youth account, the eligible card age is 8. For any other transaction account, the eligible card age is 14. You must have an Australian residential address.
