- Global ATM Alliance: A 3% Foreign Transaction Fee applies to overseas debit or credit card withdrawals. A 3% cash advance fee applies to credit card withdrawals where the "Credit" option is selected. Refer to Global Alliance for a list of members. It is important to know that the functionality to withdraw money from a linked Westpac account via Credit Card is not available when using overseas ATMs, including Global Alliance ATMs. To ensure access to Savings and or Cheque account funds when overseas please speak to us about obtaining a Debit Mastercard®.
- Westpac’s Online Banking Security Guarantee - If your Westpac account is compromised as a result of Internet fraud, we guarantee to repay any missing funds, providing you comply with our Online Banking Terms and Conditions. This includes keeping your sign-in details (including passwords, Westpac Protect™ SMS codes and SecurID® Token codes) private. You must inform us immediately if you suspect the security of your access details has been compromised, or you suspect an unauthorised transaction or potential fraud on your accounts.
- Westpac received the highest score in Digital experience review among Multi-Channel banks in Forrester’s proprietary 2024 Forrester Digital Experience Review of Australian Mobile Banking Apps conducted between June and July 2024. Forrester reviewed 4 banks’ mobile apps across 18 customer scenarios and combined this with a mobile banking app performance score from Forrester’s proprietary Customer Index Survey in Australia. These findings were then combined with findings from unmoderated usability testing with 40 customers of the included brands. Forrester Research does not endorse any company included in any Digital Experience Review and does not advise any person to select the products or services of any particular company based on the ratings included in such reports.
- The Digital Card: The Digital Card is only available on the Westpac App and supported with the latest version of Westpac Mobile Banking. The terms and conditions applicable to your product also apply to the use of your digital card. Online Banking Terms & Conditions also apply. You may not always be able to access your digital card.
- Parental Control: Parents, grandparents, or guardians must be an account signatory to have Parental Control. Child must be registered for Westpac Online Banking and Westpac Telephone Banking to access accounts online or over the phone. For children under 12 years of age: Parental Control is mandatory, and self-service Telephone Banking is not available. For children aged 12 years and over: Parental Control is optional and access levels can be amended by the child at any time. Parental Control does not apply to a child’s access to funds in branch, however a signatory must authorise branch withdrawals where a child is under 8 and a debit card is not available.

Debit Mastercard®: Westpac Choice Youth account, the eligible card age is 8. For any other transaction account, the eligible card age is 14. You must have an Australian residential address.
