How do I make a payment with my Garmin smart watch?

Once you have added a card to your Garmin smart watch, select or press and hold the action button on the side of the smart watch to display the Navigation Controls menu. Tap the Virtual Wallet icon and enter your Garmin 4-digit PIN code if prompted (you will be prompted to enter your Garmin PIN code every 24 hours or the first time you make a payment after putting on your watch). Once the wallet is open the last-used card is displayed (you can switch to another card by swiping down on the screen); hold your smart watch near the contactless terminal to pay. The Garmin watch vibrates slightly when the contactless payment is made.


Subject to your terms and conditions, you are covered by our Fraud Money Back Guarantee for any unauthorised purchases made with your Westpac card on Garmin Pay.  To make a payment of over $100 with your Westpac card on Garmin Pay, you must enter your physical card PIN at the contactless terminal.  For security reasons, if the contactless terminal does not prompt you for your card PIN, the transaction using Garmin Pay will not be accepted.

This does not change current payments or transaction limits on your physical card. The provisions of your card Product Terms continue to apply in the same way for Garmin Pay payments.


If the payment terminal doesn’t recognise Garmin Pay, ensure the watch face is near the reader and that the cashier knows you’re making a contactless payment.

 

Note: For added security, Garmin Pay will only be activated when the smart watch is being worn on your wrist and has been authenticated via your Garmin PIN.
