What happens if the international money transfer is returned?
International money transfers can be returned if the transfer details are not correct. If your international money transfer is returned, we will credit the funds to the account which was used to send the transfer.
There may be fees charged by other banks to return the transfer which are outside of Westpac’s control. If the currency of your account is different to the currency of the transfer, the returned funds will be converted at Westpac’s prevailing buying rate of exchange for that currency on the date we credit your Account.
