How do I stop payments to my PayID® or de-activate my PayID?
To temporarily stop payments to your PayID, contact our Help Desk on 1300 655 505 8am-8pm Mon-Sun Sydney time, or +61 2 9155 7700 from overseas and ask them to lock your PayID. You can then call us back and ask us to unlock it when you’re ready to use it again.
To permanently stop payments to your PayID and de-activate it, contact our Help Desk on 1300 655 505 8am-8pm Mon-Sun Sydney time, or +61 2 9155 7700 from overseas and ask them to close your PayID.
- Once your PayID is closed, you’ll no longer be able to receive payments using this method - but you can still receive fast Osko payments to your eligible BSB and account number.
- Once closed, you can set up your PayID again using the same past information (i.e. your mobile number) anytime with a participating financial institution.
Why has my PayID been locked?
We are required to monitor payments to identify possible misuse and fraud. If we reasonably suspect misuse of your PayID or use of your PayID to procure payments fraudulently, we may lock your PayID. We may also lock it for other reasons, such as if your linked account can no longer receive payments or you de-register from Online Banking.
