How are Credit Card Payments categorised?

Credit Card payments get assigned to the Transfers category and are excluded from Cash flow and Top categories.

If you have a Westpac credit card, the purchase transactions will be categorised as expenses. Hence the payment to your credit card is assigned to the Transfers category to avoid doubling up the Credit Card Payment as an expense.

If you’ve made a payment from a Westpac account to any other credit card for that transaction, you can change the subcategory to any other expense subcategory for inclusion in your spend insights. You can do this by clicking on the payment transaction and using the 'Edit' function to change the subcategory.
