Do both account holders have the same level of authority?

There are two access levels available for joint accounts:
 

• Both to sign – both account holders will need to sign or provide approval for any withdrawals
  
  
• Either to sign – either of the account holders can access money in the account without needing the approval of the other account holder.
   

If you opened your joint account online, it will automatically be set up with ‘Either to sign’ access. To set up the account to ‘Both to sign’ access, both account holders will need to visit us in branch.
