My Westpac Protect™ Security Code code looks different to what I expected.
Stop and consider if this is a genuine notification from Westpac. Is the message asking you to click a link or call a number? Is the message unexpected, or appears genuine but you are not currently signed in?
Remember, we will never send you a link in an SMS that isn’t expected.
Never use a link to access your banking, always sign in safely on our website or via the Westpac App.
If you are concerned someone may be trying to access your banking, or if you received a Westpac Protect™ Security Code that looks different to what you expected (for example, the recipient account details are different to those entered in your banking), please call us immediately on 132 032.
